I want everyone to know the seriousness of this stuff.  This
is real-time first account experience and I am having a breakdown this
very moment... but I need to tell you the truth.  There is very little
light in my life right now, but I want to help someone else NOT go
through this.

Start cleaning now... right now... at the very moment my
mother just got out of a hospital tonight, to come home to a boarded up
house.   It sounds like right out of a nightmare or a news story which it
will probably be both.

I am sitting at work being told of the
developements realizing I have no house to go home and sleep at. My mother is
suppose to have oxygen delieverd to the house tomorrow but we both know
that couldn't have happened anyways.  I cannot get my stuff, I have
nothing, my mother has no access to her medicines.  I have $45000.00
credit card debt from crap sitting in a house that I will have no access
to.

I have had 7 cats removed today from my house that I loved and I
realize I may never see again.  I have a house payment coming out of my
account tonight on a condemned house. I may lose my job because of this.
I am going to have my children taken away because of this...... this is
the thruth and the facts.

This is real and it will destroy everything
in your life if you let it.  I guess I let it but, I almost feel it
was out of my control years ago when I was a child growing up in this.
But as an adult I let it win.  Please don't let the mess win because
this is a fact that can happen to anyone.  All it starts with is one
little thing and it grows out of hand, if you let it.  It may sound funny or
somewhat cute to avoid that service man coming in, but it can be
serious in the long run.  You can put blankets up to cover the windows, but
when they cover the doors so you cannot get in... what will you do?

I feel so sorry for you, but hopefully it can be turned around, maybe you have a friend who will lend their home to you to stay in while you get your head together on how to tackle the problem you probably saw coming around the corner. I had a dream last night that my hoarder mom called me to come see the house and it was clean! All that was on the floor was some minimal boxes and she had put in a new floor (to replace the rotted one) This dream gave me hope, you can do this, sometimes change has to be abrupt to work. Goodluck!
