Growing Up Stories: Story from daughter
Growing Up COH and Adult COH Experiences

it is just frustrating. I mean they literally bought a whole other
house for their junk...

feedback = My parents have always been hoarders..in a secret controlled
way if that makes any sense, where the front room where company would
be would be normal but all clostets ,garages, attic would be packed
full of useless stuff. Worse, they bought a house with the intentions of
using it for rental income and have never had a tenant in the almost 16
years they have owned the house because they used it to store all of
their stuff...to the point where the middle rooms of the house were
inacessible. You could only enter maybe a foot through the front door and
maybe a foot through the kitchen door.

We live in New Orleans and both homes were flooded in Katrina. You
would think this was the perfect time to have a clean slate but they were
obsessed with salvaging anything...the garage is filled with the flooded
washing machines and dryers and the grandfather clock and other stuff
that might be fixed one day. I mean a year after the storm my mother
would not let me throw out half empty shampoo bottles from pre-katrina
because they were closed and undamaged...

it is just frustrating. I mean they literally bought a whole other
house for their junk.
