I don't know if I feel sad or happy to find this website. I read these stories and it is as if I am reading a story of my own family.

My mother is a hoarder. It went on somewhat when I was a child....there was always a room that no one could go into. My senior year of college
it became worse, after my grandmother died. Now it is the whole house. Stuff everywhere, trails, animals urinating and feces, it is
unimaginable.

I have three siblings who are still at home and have to deal with this.
My mother won't accept the truth. And even when I tell myself I
will not bring it up to her anymore, I do. And then we fight. I only want to help her.

It is causing a strain in my parents marriage. My mother shops uncontrollably.
They actually bought another house, and claimed they would use it as a rental house.
Now it has as much stuff as their other house.
I just feel so hopeless.
