Re: Story from adult daughter, living in hoarded home (Score: 1) by Bluanjel75 on Wednesday, March 05, 2008 @ 04:43:09 ICT (User Info | Send a Message) | | Angleine Kudo's on living in your own space. It feels sooo good doesn't it? I grew up this way, it got worse adn worse over the years. I remember writing in my diary that I wanted to move out (I was 16 at the time) and I would someday have my own place and every thing would be CLEAN and everything would WORK like the electricity, the water, heat, stove etc. I now have my own place (I did move out at 17) and everything works!!! the house is clean! there are no maggots crawling around, no *****roaches hiding in my backpack, no mice living in my mattress. we have heat, running water, electricity and NORMALCY. How far we have come, right? Now we are all long since gone from the house, just my parents remain in there ever growing list of indecencies. I am taking baby steps to confront mom. It is the big secret that isn't so secret that no one talks about. Or I should say is AFRAID to talk about. Angeline, good luck and God bless! you came a great distance! |
