Abuelo de Mis Hijos (Grandfather of my Children) Online Video
Synopsis
An old man recovering from diogenes syndrome, a hoarding compulsion,tells his daughter-in-law about life before she arrived, bringing order and grandchildren.
Inspiration
The grandfather in the film is grandfather to my own grandchildren. I have known him for about six years, and have heard his story both from him and from my daughter and her husband, his son. I wanted the film to show something of his unusual story and lifestyle, as well as his special relationship with his grandsons. I hope it also conveys the importance of respecting and listening to older people, and the richness of extended family.
