I married a man who recently lost his wife. She was a hoarder. her children have the tendencies. yet we are stuck with cleaning out the house. and we have to go through everything because we find money. i need to talk this through. i do not understand. i am so tired of the excuses.

I found over 200 packages of scotch tape. Everything she bought she did in 4's. One for her one one for each of the three daughters. But who would use a daily planner from 1981 NOW. SHe never or rarely gave the things she bought away. When she died she left 30,000.00 in debt. All from buying things she did not need. The cases and cases of Avon, Pampered Chef, SHakley and so on. The stamp things. The dirty bedding and clothes stuffed into bags and crammed in the basement. A room full of recycle. Easy enough to empty. The dead plants. How gross. A grocery bag sitting on the edge of the (goats) path from 1989. Bought at the store, brought home, set down and left for 19 years. Newspapers. Yes, tons of them. They would tower and sometimes fall over and she would joke about it. In the early years her compulison was extra marital affairs. SHe had many lovers. Most of them strangers. And every Sunday she would go to church, be generous of her time and compassion for others. Then go home to live like a crazy person. The bed where she lay hadn't been changed in 22 years. The sink was so loaded with jkunk it was unusable. She raised three daughters in that mess. ANd they loved her and they miss her. But everyone skirts around the obvious. And their dad is left to clean up the mess. It is sinful.
