The only way to answer that question is to ask the Task Force! Call a representative of that task force and ask--"How can you help me?" If you don't like the answer, don't give them your identifying info.
Most task forces are trying to figure out how to help--they don't have all the answers--if they did, they wouldn't need to have a task force--they'd just "do it!"
You might be able to give them a perspective they don't have. The task force that I am affiliated with welcomes input and participation from family members who are on the recovery side of the issue--the reason is that we are not a "therapy group" and cannot in the Task Force group setting help the individual family member deal with their emotional issues. We are a group of individuals and organization representatives trying to understand hoarding and develop effective, humane interventions.
The Task Force may have some practical suggestions--plus explain their roles, responsibilities and limitations. I am finding that a lot of "the public" has a misunderstanding of what "we government authorities" can and cannot do. At the very least the Task Force should be able to educate you on who they are and their abilities/limitations.
Again, your input may be valued by the Task Force in question. Call.
Best of luck. |
